Millions of dollars will go to save teacher's salaries in the Borderland after congress passed the Education Jobs Act, Tuesday.
More than $48.5 million dollars will come to El Paso County school districts.
EPISD will see the most with $22 million. Ysleta will see nearly $13 million. SISD will see $6 million.
EPISD has been facing major budget cuts. They have an $18 million dollar deficit.
As we've reported so far though district leaders only said some special education teachers would face pay cuts.
According to the act, the federal funding can only be used to pay for teacher's jobs.
