EL PASO - The Hunt Family Foundation will make what UTEP calls a "major gift" to the university today.
An announcement will be made at 2pm today.
The size of the gift has not been disclosed.
“Woody and Gayle Hunt and the Hunt Family Foundation have been vital, highly valued supporters of UTEP for many years. A major new foundation gift, soon to be announced, demonstrates that their philanthropy is as strategic and farsighted as it is generous,” UTEP President Diana Natalicio said.
Woody L. Hunt, the foundation’s chairman; Joshua W. Hunt, president; and Gayle Hunt, vice president, will join UTEP President Diana Natalicio in making this announcement.
UTEP says the gift will enhance the development of several academic and research programs. It will also serve as a catalyst for establishing on the UTEP campus the Hunt Institute for Global Competitiveness, a multidisciplinary policy center dedicated to research and analysis at the intersection of education and economic development.
