Friday, August 6: Dallas Cowboys Defensive End Marcus Spears was injured at the end of Thursday's practice, spraining his left MCL in his knee. After doctors looked over Spears, they think he will be out 4-6 weeks recovering. This is earily similar to what happened to receiver Dez Bryant two weeks ago, when he was injured in the second to last play of training camp. Even Cowboys owner Jerry Jones questioned why Bryant was even on the field at that point of the practice. In other Cowboys news, Emmitt Smith is gearing up for tomorrow's enshrinement into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. Smith will join longtime nemesis of the 49er's, Jerry Rice. Smith is the NFL's all time leading rusher with 18,355 yards.
