Forever 21 is a clothing store known for its trendy, affordable clothes and accessories where little girls, teenagers and young women alike shop.
They just added a new maternity line to their "Love 21" brand which will only be sold in six states for now, Texas being one.
Some parents are concerned that the new maternity line will make their young daughters think that its cute to be pregnant at a young age.
Glenn Works, a father of two says he didn't like the idea of the maternity clothes being offered in Forever 21. "I would not let my daughters in this store, no there's other stores to go in but when they're 15,16,17 they see maternity clothes they'd probably think it was an okay thing," Works said.
But some new moms like, Aracely Ramirez, say that they wish these maternity lines would have been around while they were pregnant.
"I really like it I'm a new mom, I'm young, I'm 26 so i don't feel like the maternity clothes we have in town really cater to a young mom," Ramirez said.
Forever 21 sent us this statement, it says the company did not create, design or distribute Love 21 Maternity to target, or appeal specifically to pregnant teens. Any relationship between teen pregnancy rates and the locations of our stores is unintentional.
