A man struck and killed while working on a
pickup on the shoulder of Interstate 40 in western Oklahoma City
has been identified as Texan.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 43-year-old Luis Antonio Davila
of El Paso was working on his tractor-trailer rig when he was hit
by a sport utility vehicle just before 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Troopers say the driver of the westbound SUV was changing lanes
and lost control when a pickup truck pulled onto the interstate
from behind the rig. The SUV hit both the semi and Davila.
The drivers of the SUV and the pickup were not injured.
Tonight Newschannel 9 spoke to those who knew Davila.
