Mexican President Felipe Calderon will be in Juarez today. He is expected to announce new incentives for Juarez maquiladoras. President Calderon is also expected to give an update on Joint Operation Juarez, a program which assigned thousands of soldiers and federal police to the city to quell the violent crime wave. So far, the Mexican government says the army has cut drug-related murders by up to 80-percent this year. However, more than 30 people were gunned down the first week of this month.
