Burned Mother From East El Paso Fire Slowly Recovering

The mother who barely escaped a burning apartment fire on Forest Ridge is slowly recovering. As we reported, her common-law husband and six-year-old daughter died in the overnight fire last week.

The mother barely escaped the second story apartment after lowering her four-year-old daughter through a window. The mother was taken to the Lubbock Burn Center. We are told she is getting better.
