Over 100 Friends and Classmates Mourn Shooting Victim
EL PASO--- There was tears and laughter as friends and classmates of a Chapin High School senior held a candlelight vigil Saturday night.
Ezra Gerald Smith was killed Friday morning, allegedly by a Ft. Bliss soldier.
More than 100 people gathered on the school's football field to share stories and memories of the 18-year-old.
Many students wore hats and t-shirts printed with Gerald's name and picture.
Gerald's girlfriend says he was always making jokes and wanted to be an actor.
