NBC -- The wife of former ambassador Edward Peck says Israel has confirmed her husband is headed home.
He was one of 700 activists on a Turkish ship delivering aid to Gaza when Israel's Navy seized it.
At least 10 were killed.
U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon said, "I condemn this violence," and more violence in protests around the world.
In Washington, Palestinian supporters demonstrated in front of the White House. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu canceled a meeting with President Obama today to head home and deal with the incident.
He is defending the raid.
"They were mobbed. They were clubbed. They were beaten, stabbed. There was even a report of gunfire and our soldiers had to defend themselves," said Netanyahu.
Israel's Military released these pictures of some of the weapons they say they were attacked with.
Ahmed Yousef of Hamas said, "Israel has no right to intercept those people who came to show solidarity with the Palestinian people."
Palestinian Presidential Aide Sabri Seidam said, "This is a clear manifestation of Israel's determination to undermine the will of the Palestinian people," condemning Israel in Gaza and around the world.
