In addition to throwing out the first pitch, Tony Gwynn will also be available for a meet and greet picture session during Thursday’s game. The ex-San Diego Padres star right fielder is a twenty year veteran and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown back in 2007. He received 532 out of a possible 545 votes that year in Hall of Fame voting. The fifteen- time NL All-Star played his entire career with the Padres earning four Gold Gloves and finishing in the Top 10 seven times in MVP voting. The twenty year veteran finished his amazing career with 3,141 hits, 1,138 RBIs, and a .338 career batting average which is the highest average since Ted Williams. In 1994 Gwynn finished the season with a .394 batting average.
