Socorro - Willie Gandara is the newly-elected mayor of Socorro.
You might have known that already but the city of Socorro had to make sure.
Incumbent Trini Lopez asked for a recount after he lost the recent election to Gandara by just 18 votes.
The votes were all counted again today.
No difference in the outcome.
Gandara was sworn into office tonight.
