Also, if you drive downtown you will realize that the parked cars won´t let you see if pedestrians are crossing the street if you are taking a turn. Many times a car has to stand there in the middle of the street to wait until the pedestrian has walked, as both lights allow the car to make the turn and the pedestrian to start walking. I passed by when the accident of the 70 yo woman happened, and it was on a corner, meaning she was crossing the right way.
