I took the time to talk to a few of the out of own fans at the game. The couple families that I talked to pretty much stayed in their hotels and only attended Sun Bowl related events because they were under the impression that El Paso was a cartel war zone. They pitured El Paso having drive by shootings and people being kidnapped on every corner. Business might have been slow because they were afraid of El Paso.
