Restaurants (fast food included), car washes & laundromats should be the primary closures when there is a water shortage due to the highest usage of water. Next, school should be cancelled to conserve utilities. Residential water usage should be set at higher restrictions, but not such that are currently in place.
If I wanted to "Go back to Basics" for that outdoorsy camping vibe, I'd pack the tent & gear and drive out to the Gilas.
