As an educator, she should have know better. We expect young people to follow rules, yet adults, especially those who admonish students to be safe, be responsible,and be respectful, display a total disregard for the law and common sense. Was the conversation she was engaged in of such importance that it could not have taken place at a more appropriate time? Was it vitally important that she arrive at her destination as soon as possible?
