Twenty years ago, a young man was just getting started in life. He was building a business, enjoying his family and friends and looking forward to the future. But that future would never come and we still don't know what happened.
Steve Hicks graduated from Clint High School in 1985, where he played football and loved the outdoors. By 1989, he'd started a small company with his best friend. But on the night of April 8, 1989, the police called his father. They had found Steve and his pickup. The pickup hadn't been touched and nothing was missing.
Steve was severely beaten, killed by a blow to the head. The police department cold case unit has picked up the case and is looking again at the evidence. If you have any information that might help call Crimestoppers at 566-TIPS.
