EL PASO - Police are searching for a man who grabbed a woman's purse in a grocery store parking lot in broad daylight Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, the 51-year-old woman was loading groceries into her car at approximately 3:30 p.m.  when man approached her and grabbed her purse outside the Big 8 on Dyer in northeast El Paso.  The woman hit the suspect several times, but she eventually fell on the ground.

The suspect drove away in a small, light colored vehicle.  He is described as a tall male with a light complexion.  He was wearing white shorts and a black hoodie.

The woman's purse was located a short distance away from the Big 8.  She was treated at the hospital for minor injuries.
