President Obama has school on the brain. On Monday, the president asked Congress to rewrite the country's main education law, before the next school year starts, in September.
The president is taking aim at former President George W. Bush's controversial No Child Left Behind Law, that was enacted in 2002.
The president said NCLB doesn't go far enough, and keeps teachers, schools and students from achieving their goals towards advancement.
However, not all leaders on both sides of the aisle see eye-to-eye on how the law should be rewritten.
Both Democrats and Republicans disagree on the role the federal government should play in education.
President Obama wants Congress to send him a new education law by September.
