Actually, it was not 11 months. The probation office failed to notify him of their new location (after telling him they would notify him). And he was not aware that he had a new probation officer. After he found out, he reported to her rightaway, and she revoked his probation not even two hours later (she was also very rude -- I was actually in the office at the time).
They wasted a lot of money, treating it as though he murdered an entire city. The 'real' criminals didn't even get as much.
