My husband is a veteran. He separated from the Air Force in 2007. He has had a really hard time finding employment above minimum wage and had to take a job at Walmart at minimum wage just for us to get by. They have not even given him any work hours for the past two weeks and this has been happening for the past two months. So when it is said veterans are easy to hire and get preference is not true because to employers we are just worth a tax cut to employers; they hire them but they don't give them a chance to advance or even earn a paycheck.
