I'm also a student, not at UTEP, but at tier-1 institution, University of Texas at Austin. So I should know about professors with accents, because the majority of the professors here at this wonderful institution are from all around the globe. They simply choose the best of their profession, no matter what their national background is, no matter what the accent is. If GPA is the concern, students should simply study more out of the book, or use other resources rather than complain on an accent.
