This writing is awful; trying to creat an extended metaphore from the rock/ scorpions connotation and then pirates was a painful failure. You have the interview so your don't really need that ridiculous fluff; like this excessive alliteration "heels of the head banger's hay day" really? am I reading poetry or prose?
