Mud Racing Accident

An accident happened during what is called a mud race outside of the Tequila's Bar.

A 68-year-old woman was enjoying the fun, when something went terribly wrong.

Sunday night, a dune buggy lost control and hit several people. Martha Camacho of Fabens was killed in the accident.

Lorena Rayos of Tornillo suffered burns to her arm, and a baby, Selene Camacho, suffered a cut to her face.

Armando Camacho, the grandson of the woman who died said he heard someone scream and he started running towards the commotion.

Camacho went on to say, "When I got there, I just saw my aunt picking up the little baby from behind my grandma's And I just saw my grandma laying down right there and she had a big cut on her leg."

Camacho says his grandmother's funeral is set for Wednesday.

The driver of the buggy is a 47-year-old man from Fort Hancock. Investigators are not identifying as of now.
