Zetas cartel leader captured
Nuevo Laredo, MX (CNN) — The leader of one of Mexico's most dangerous drug cartels has been captured. Mexican authorities apprehended Miguel Treviño Morales this morning in the small town of Nuevo Laredo, which is just across the border from Laredo, Texas.
Treviño is the head of the Zetas cartel and was also being sought by U.S. authorities for his suspected connection to several murders committed several years ago in Laredo by U.S. Teenagers. Authorities say Treviño had eight guns and two million dollars with him when he was captured.
