ELEPHANT BUTTE, NM — A 3-year-old girl has died after falling off a pontoon boat at Elephant Butte Lake and being struck by the propeller of the boat.
 

It's reported the girl was struck only a few feet from shore Sunday morning as she fell in the water in front of the boat.  Authorities don't believe alcohol was a factor in the accident, and no one has been charged in the incident.  No word yet on where the girl was from.
