YISD Asks Voters to Dig Deep

El Paso - The campaign has begun to upgrade the Ysleta Independent School District.
The first of several town halls will be held tonight to convince voters to approve $160 million in bonds.
Five initiatives will go to a public vote on May 8.
They include $59 million for refrigerated air in schools, $48 million for two new elementaries in the YISD, $25 million for school refurbishing, $15 million for classroom and lab renovation and $13 million to make the YISD disability compliant.
Tonight's town hall will be held at Eastwood High School at 2430 McRae Boulevard from 5:30-7:00pm.
