DONA ANA COUNTY, NM – A 26-year-old man was found dead inside a Dona Ana County home, after the man's girlfriend told investigators he stabbed her in the face.

The victim, a 45-year-old woman, told Sheriff's Deputies that her live-in boyfriend stabbed her one in the face at her home on the 19000 block of South Highway 28 around 8:30 last night.

Deputies say they found the man, who hanged himself, in the back of the house.

The victim suffered non-life threatening injured.

Investigators aren't releasing the names of the people involved.
