Woman seriously hurt in Upper Valley car wreck
EL PASO (KTSM) — Police said a woman was seriously hurt in a wreck in the Lower Valley. Originally, Newschannel 9 received a report from Westside Regional Command the woman died from her injuries, but a police spokesperson confirmed she was in the hospital.
Two cars were involved in an accident on Doniphan and Edgar at about 3 a.m. Thursday.
Crews took two women to the hospital. One woman had serious injuries, the other had minor injuries.
It appears the driver of the other car may have kept driving after the wreck because the cars were about a half-mile apart. Paramedics checked out that woman driver, but it’s unclear if she was hurt.
Special Traffic Investigators were trying to determine what happened.
Doniphan was closed between Coates and Montoya and it was expected to open at 11:30 a.m.
