EL PASO - A woman is recovering from injures she suffered after she slammed into the back of an 18-wheeler.

The wreck happened Sunday morning in the 7300 block of Doniphan Dr.

According to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, Faith Saenz, 34, crashed her Ford Focus into the back end of the trailer.

Deputies said the 18-wheeler was traveling in the right lane on Doniphan and signaled to turn right into a business.  Saenz approached from behind, veered right and hit the trailer.

A witness told deputies that Saenz was looking down before colliding with the 18-wheeler.

Saenz was rushed to the hospital.  She was cited for following too closely and not having a driver's license.
