Woman hit by NMSU employee driving university car
LAS CRUCES, N.M. — A New Mexico State University employee driving an NMSU car hit woman on campus Thursday morning sending her to the hospital with serious injuries, according to NMSU police.
Police said Lucy Sandoval, 53, was hit at the intersection of Knox Street and Stewart Street at about 8:20 in the morning.
Sandoval was taken to a hospital in Las Cruces in critical condition and was then airlifted to hospital in El Paso.
Charge could be pending for the driver after an investigation is completed.
