EL PASO - A 911 call ends with a woman dying at a local hospital.

Police were called out to the 5400 block of Sun Valley Drive around 12:30 Sunday. There they found a 58-year old woman unconscious near an intersection.

Paramedics quickly rushed her to a local hospital where she died.

A man from the area, who did not want to be identified, says he can't believe she was found on the street of such a family-oriented community.

"It's shocking to hear," he said. "It really is. It's a quiet peaceful neighborhood, and it's shocking."

An obvious concern for people in the neighborhood is that it may have been a hit and run. Although, at this point police say the woman did not appear to be injured, and there were no signs of foul play.

Investigators have notified the El Paso County Medical Examiner, and they will now have to wait for the autopsy report to show what caused the woman's death.

Police have not released her name.
