A Saturday night party resulted in a stabbing early Sunday morning stabbing by 24-year-old Delilah Ramirez, police said.

Police responded to a disturbance call at the party on Ash Court for the second time early Sunday and discovered a 32-year-old man had been stabbed in the back.

According to the report, several people were at the home celebrating a wedding that took place a week earlier. Shortly before midnight a physical altercation took place between several partygoers. During the fight, Ramirez is alleged to have used a knife to stab the victim. Another woman at the party then took the knife away from Ramirez.

The victim was not aware that he was stabbed until after he left the party. But once he learned of his injury, he returned to the residence and spoke with officers. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Ramirez was booked into the Dona Ana County Detention Center.
