A woman is dead and several others are injured after being struck by a off-road vehicle.
It happened during a race on dirt track behind the Tequila Disco on Indian Head Rd in Tornillo.
The sheriff's office tells us the driver of the vehicle lost control and hit the four female spectators:
a 69 year old woman who died at the hospital from her injuries.
a 1 year old who suffered cuts to her face.
a 32 year old with cuts to her legs.
and a 40 year old with burns to arms
All were all taken to the hospital. No word yet on the condition of the man driving the ATV.
"You know when we always say that you know when you go out to those types of environments, you run the risk of one of those vehicles losing control, and tragically it was unfortunately a 69-year-old female lost her life as a result," said Jesse Tovar, spokesman for the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.
Just five minutes earlier, deputies rushed to an ATV accident in horizon. That driver lost control and was thrown from the ATV. He suffered serious head injuries.

these ATV should be ban. It really makes me angry when I see some people with honestly any money to spare, but owning an ATV and let their kids ride it. I suppose they are waiting for the kid to get kill. It will happen again and again, and nothing will be done about it.
