A woman died of her injuries Monday after the Hummer she was riding collided with another car and rolled over several times. The driver, unknown at this time, ran a red light. The accident happened on the intersection of Zaragoza and Gateway East.

Juana Muniz, 25 of San Elizario was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital after being ejected from the sun roof. The second occupant, Fernando Rodriguez, 26, was also ejected and remains in the hospital in critical condition. Niether of them were wearing seatbelts.

The driver of the sedan did not suffer serious injuries. Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the accident on the part of the person driving the Hummer.

A photo on her Facebook profile showed a mobile image of Rodriguez and Muniz posted hours before the accident.

It is amazing that we don't fully understand what death is until someone in your life dies. As you become wiser you realize that death is inevitable and that it will occur somehow someway but you don’t fully understand what that means until someone you know or someone you love dies...and other times you just never understand. I can’t fathom her death because she lives in my memories; she is alive in the past. It is even more difficult to understand why things happen the way they do. Maybe we

Juana had a child at home. She was out drinking and driving at 2am without wearing seatbelts. When will people learn? Thank God the person in the honda was not injured. Drinking and driving KILLS. My prayers are with her daughter.

My deepest and sincerest condolensces to the family.
