EL PASO-- A 65-year-old woman has died at UMC, becoming El Paso's first traffic death of the year.

Last Friday, Maria Contreras-DeQuiroga was crossing as a pedestrian on Mesa at Glory Road.

An SUV hit her as she was on the crosswalk.

She died Sunday.

No charges have been filed against the driver.
