CANUTILLO – Sheriff's Deputies arrested a woman who allegedly embezzled thousands of dollars from the hardware store where she worked in Canutillo.

Deputies say 44-year-old Adriana Nava Nevarez embezzled more than $83,000 from Riverside Hardware over a three year period.

Nevarez was the business manager for the company.

Investigators said Nevarez stole money from customers who were trying to pay off credit on their accounts.
