Woman Arrested In Robbery Cases

An El Paso woman is behind bars. Authorities say she's responsible for two of the city's latest bank robberies. The FBI tells us Romelia Vargas was spotted at a GECU parking lot on Rojas in East El Paso by the bank security guard. The guard locked the bank door and called 911. Police soon caught up with her and arrested her.
Garcia is believed to be connected to two robberies: the first happened at another eastside GECU branch. The second, six days later at the El Paso Area Teachers Federal Credit Union.
The FBI says Garcia may have an accomplice. He's described as a light-skinned black man in his early 20s.
