EL PASO – The second day of a former El Paso police officer's trial will start at noon Tuesday.

The county courthouse was on a two hour delay because of the winter storm.

Zake Rivera is accused of sexual assault while on duty. Prosecutors say Rivera forced a woman to give him oral sex while she was held in the back of a police car. According to the affidavit, Rivera responded to a family disturbance call involving the woman and her husband at a west El Paso apartment complex on January 23rd. Rivera was fired from the police department in march.
