The borderland is under a wind advisory until 8 p.m. Saturday evening, with peak gusts of about 45mph.
You can expect those winds to shift from the West coming in at about 25-35 mph later this afternoon, with a gusty evening around 5 p.m.
At about 9 percent relative humidity, the entire borderland region is under a Red flag warning for potential fire danger due to these dry and windy conditions conditions.
Saturday’s high temperature is forecasted to reach 85 degrees in El Paso, thanks to the think cloud cover.
It's also thanks to these dry conditions that will make it difficult for any rain to actually make it to the ground. You can expect a slight chance of rain mainly up in the mountains, as an upper wave sweeps through the region bringing us these windy conditions.
It'll be thanks to this upper wave that we cool down to 80 degrees on Sunday and a strong cool front drops us down to 70 degrees by Monday.
