SOCORRO - There's only one post office in Socorro, and the U.S. Postal Service plans to close it in April.

But now, we're learning that the Socorro post office still has a chance. The postal service is delaying the closure for several weeks, while congress looks at legislation that could keep some post offices open.

Until we know more, the Socorro post office will remain open for business.
