White House Visitor Center cancels tours
(CNN) — Due to those forced budget cuts, the White House Visitor Center has canceled all tours effective Saturday.
An automated message at the Visitor Center's hotline is delivering the news.
The move will help the agency save $74,000 a week. That is the cost of paying 37 uniformed officers 50 dollars an hour each week to secure the tour route. It adds up to roughly $2 million a year.
