HOUSTON, TX - Democrat Bill White conceded the Texas Governor's Race to Rick Perry in Houston, where White once served as mayor.

He thanked friends, family members and supporters for all their hard work on his campaign.

White also called for an end to discord between parties for the benefit of all Texans.

"Now to those who've supported me, please recognize that every governor of our state deserves respect. And to those who've supported Rick Perry in this campaign, please understand that all of our elected leaders, including our national leadership, deserves respect."

Screw Perry and his boot- buying out sponsoring books instead of doing his job tactics.. enough is enough when will people wake up?

why should a father in Texas go play nice with his kids when the Texas Child support system is holding a gun to his head for child support payments ? the "Electronic Berlin Wall that prevents a father from leaving the US for a job. The state system who removes our drivers license and a court system who puts fathers in jail for support for kids who are not biologically his?and moms who do not get the full amount of the payment ordered? what is wrong with this picture? thanks MR Prez and Mr Perry

Bill, you were a super mayor and a true patriot of Texas.

I supported White but Texans are true to their elected leader so I support Gov. Rick Perry without question, without hisitation and with full vigor.

Great speech. Texas is not ready for anything other than a republican, even if it means progress.
