The Westside Regional Command Center wil hold a Bike Rodeo safety event and car seat check up Saturday. 

The Bike Rodeo is for children 5 to 15 years of age. Entrants must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. They should also bring a bike helmet and a bicycle in working condition. 

Prizes for completing the Rodeo will be given out and there will also be door prizes. TXDOT is sponsoring the Rollover Simulator; Westside Explorers will be assisting; El Paso Police Department Youth Academy applications will be available; Visual Impairment Demonstrations (visual goggles); No DWI/Drinking Responsibly Campaign will be on hand with information for the public.. 

Please come and join the Westside Citizens' Advisory Board, TxDOT and the El Paso Police Department for a fun filled morning. This event is free and open to the public.

The El Paso Police Department's Safe Communities Program will also participate at the event and have a free Car Seat Check Up Event.

Nationally certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians will be checking cars seat to ensure proper installation and usage. 

These checkups are free. 

Both events will be held at 4801 Osborne at the Westside Regional Command Center from 8 am - Noon Saturday June 8.
