A nation comes together to honor Sandy Hook victims.

A social movement has spread on Facebook and Twitter asking all students, parents, faculty, staff and the community at large to wear green and white, the school colors of Sandy Hook Elementary.

Today, the NFL stadiums held many tributes honoring the victims across the country.

The league observed a moment of silence at all games this weekend and stadium flags were lowered to half staff.

New york Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz wrote the name of a young victim on his gloves and shoes.

Some teams brought young kids onto the field before the games and players stood hand in hand with them.

Many players, coaches and fans stood with their hands over their hearts and were visibly moved.

The Jets, Giants, and Patriots will all wear special decals on their helmets.

Back in the borderland, YISD students and staff are encouraged to wear green and white.

In addition, the President has ordered US flags to fly at half staff until sunset December 18.
