Museum and theater closed temporarily in Alamogordo
Alamogordo — The New Mexico Museum of Space History and the Clyde W. Tombaugh IMAX Dome Theater is temporarily closed due to a water outage in the City of Alamogordo.
The water outage is due to a main break and Alamogordo Public works says it is affecting a good size area including the college (NMSU Alamogordo campus). They aren't sure how long it will take to repair and are currently assessing the damage so they've shutdown those lines.
Museum Executive Director Chris Orwoll said, “We are unsure as to when the city will be able to restore water to the museum and theater, and for safety reasons, both facilities have been closed. When water is restored, we will reopen to the public.”
