Water Main Break Repaired - Crews Waiting for Reservoir to Refill

MONTANA VISTA - El Paso Water Utilities is working on restoring water to more than 3,000 Montana Vista customers.
There was a water main break at around 7:30 Thursday evening at the intersection of Montana and Krag.
El Paso Water Utilities said an 18-inch pipe burst and emptied a reservoir in the area. It sent water gushing into the street.
Crews have been working through the night to repair the break and refill the reservoir.
El Paso Water Utilities said the line was repaired at around 6:30 Friday morning. Crews are now working on filling the reservoir.
Service should be restored within a few hours.
The cause of the water main break is still under investigation.
MONTANA VISTA - Water is a basic necessity that many of us take for granted. Right now, about 3,000 customers in Montana Vista don't have it, after a water main broke.
We're told a water reservoir was emptied, after a 24-inch line to a water main broke, and sent water gushing into the streets.
El Paso Water Utilities said it's making repairs to the line, to fill the reservoir back up. However, the utility said the cause of the water main break, is still unknown.
