Volunteers removed thousands of tires and tons of trash back in May, now organizers are hoping the second community clean up in Sparks this Saturday will also be a success.

Keep El Paso Beautiful and dozens of other local organizations have teamed up with people living in Sparks to clean up trash buildup from years of illegal dumping

Keep El Paso Beautiful, which is investing $73,000 in the project, says it already has hundreds of volunteers that will be helping out this Saturday, but even more are needed. Refreshments and hot dogs will be provided along with all the clean up equipment.

If you'd like to volunteer, the group is meeting between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. at the Socorro Ramirez Community Center located at 106 Peyton on Saturday.

The third phase of the community clean up project is scheduled for August.
