Violence Out Of Juarez Continues

More violence out of Juarez. The reign of terror in our sister city claimed over a dozen of lives over the weekend. Our media partners at the El Paso Times report the death toll for the month is now close to 100. Almost 20 people were killed on Friday and Saturday... including three men who were gunned down. One of the victims was executed as he was leaving a pool hall Saturday night.

Meanwhile, Juarez soldiers are being blamed for as many as four deaths, eight disappearances, and several cases of torture. Chihuahua state human rights commission leaders say military patrols target poor neighborhoods and use strong-arm tactics to get information out of drug addicts or suspected drug dealers. Military officials deny any of the claims.
