Victims in fatal weekend wrong-way I-10 crash ID'd

El Paso, TX (KTSM) — The victims in Saturday morning's deadly wrong-way accident on I-10 West and McRae have been identified by El Paso Police Department as Robert Karr, 46, of the 900 block of Man of War and Nora Padilla, 30, of the 200 block of Monte Rubio.
EPPD say that Padilla, who was driving a 2010 Hyundai Accident entered I-10 West traveling the wrong way when she struck Karr, who was riding a 2007 Harley Davidson head-on at approximately 1:38 a.m. on Sunday morning.
Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. Traffic on I-10 near the McRae exit was detoured for several hours on Sunday morning while police investigated the scene. It is unclear why Padilla was traveling the wrong way on the freeway and police have not stated whether alcohol played a factor in the accident.
