Vets Await President Signature on License Act
New legislation passed by Congress Monday could help put hundreds of unemployed veterans to work.
The Commercial Drivers License Act makes it easier for veterans to obtain their CDL.
The bill will allow uniformed service members to get a CDL where they are stationed rather than having to wait to get a license in their home state.
The change is aimed at making easier for soldiers to transition to civilian life while also helping alleviate a huge truck driver shortage.
President Obama still needs to sign the bill into law.
